For a very long time, we’ve been hearing that streaming is killing the music industry. Artists aren’t getting royalties for their music. People aren’t buying CDs, vinyl, or downloads.

Well, there’s some evidence that despite the digital onslaught to the music industry since Napster, the money is starting to flow back in. More people are buying subscriptions to music streaming websites. Unlike YouTube, which remains in the industry’s bad books because it pays little to no royalties, Spotify and Apple Music have been forking over more of what subscribers are paying to the industry and the artists themselves.
