Imagine a world without DJs. Or rather, imagine a world without human DJs. With the advent of artificial intelligence and machine learning, that reality may not be far off.
Sorry to say this, but machines prove to us over and over again that they’re able to zero in on our preferences and give us more of what we want. An artificial DJ can be a much better entertainer than a human one.
Now, picture yourself at a club. There’s no DJ that you can see, just a computer bank stuck unobtrusively in a corner. Yet, the music the speakers are pumping out is great. The transitions are seamless. The song selection is optimal. Everyone’s out on the dance floor regardless of age or ability.
The computer is constantly scanning the crowd for data. It’s matching that information will all the data stored in its memory from previous gigs. It can read the crowd and play everything that people want to hear.
