Despite mp3s and music streaming services, I think I can safely say that the  death of radio has been much exaggerated. Recently, Flume, Al Grime, Diplo and Cashmere Cat, to name but a few, have come together to honor long-time DJ, Nina Las Vegas, who has just announced her retirement from Australian public radio station, triple j. She’s heading off toward new adventures as a touring DJ, herself.

The fact that these DJs have created a mixtape with Nina called “My Last Show” points to how much they value this particular DJ, at least. Each one credits her with promoting them at a time when they were just starting out and needed that support.

So, here’s to radio!
