Kygo Shines With An Unplugged “Stole The Show”
Kygo may be known as a Norwegian DJ and record producer, but it’s as an accomplished pianist that he shines here in this acoustic version of “Stole the Show” featuring Parson James on vocals.
If it had been up to me, I would’ve dropped the vocals entirely. I found Parson James’ voice too airy … annoyingly airy actually. It introduced a grittiness that contrasted unpleasantly with the purity and beauty of the piano. If you happen to hear the “plugged” song featuring full instrumentation, you’ll notice that the people behind the controls at the recording studio cut out that airiness from his vocals.
