I’ll apologize right off the bat to all you DJs who practice your art for love, or if you’re lucky, for decent pay. I hope that the majority of you are making a living off your DJ-ing.

I hate to tell you, though, that you’re probably not earning what you could be earning if your name was Calvin Harris or Afrojack or any of these big-name DJs. For sure, they don’t have to worry about whether theyll be able to pay the rent next month. Then again, there have been those celebrities who blow through their fortunes like wind through the trees.

Do you ever wonder where all that money comes from? Sure, some comes from organizations that pay to associate their product with these DJs. But a whole lot of it actually comes from you. Everythime you go see someone in concert or buy their album, you’re adding to their bank accounts.

Hey, there’s nothing wrong with that. If an artist creates something, he or she deserves to be paid for it. And the entertainment biz is huge. Much, much larger and more lucrative than ever (even accounting for inflation).
