Blame it on our fast-paced society. Reading just doesn’t cut it anymore. Everything needs to be fast, instantaneous.

There are instances, though, when reading about something just doesn’t do that something justice. You can read about how great a concert was. But looking at images translates that experience even better than words can, and video does an even better experience than still images. Wait till virtual reality becomes a common, household thing. Everyone, at any time, will be able to experience an event as if they’re right there at the event.

If we can ignore the question of whether or not that technology removes us too much from reality, I have to say that I think improvements in video quality and accessibility is great.

Like every new trend, though, video streaming has moved from the realm of unessential to that of essential. If you want to market yourself as a DJ, you’ll need to consider how to use video to showcase your talents.
