One of the types of gigs we’ve touched on is DJing a sports event. Although it might be pretty hard to get that residency DJing for the Lakers, smaller venue sports teams would welcome a DJ who can get the crowd going at its home games.

The issue that DJs run into goes beyond where to find gigs. Once you’ve been offered that gig, how do you decide what music to play?

Each event comes with its own particular crowd. If you do manage to get that sports team gig, there’s another factor to consider – the players.

In an interview with the Golden State Warriors’ official DJ, Mollie Cahillane over atΒ People discovers what it takes to get the team pumped before a game. “I provide a heavy dose of Future and Drake during warm-ups for the players,” explains DJ D Sharp. DJs to the stars have to walk a fine line. “Curry … is a rap fan, while Draymond Green rejects all things house.”
