v8_2decks_touchAtomix Productions has just released its latest version of its VirtualDJ software. The goal driving the redesign was to make the product more controller-centric, according to the company’s website.

The new, updated version sports improved compatibility with most controllers available on the market now, the BPM analysis algorithm has been refined, and some models feature the new Ask.The.DJ function.

The Ask.The.DJ feature alone is probably worth the effort of downloading the update. It’s a function that allows the crowd to make requests with actually needing to approach the DJ at all. It’s up to the DJ to decide whether or not he wants to play the requests without having to face the person making the request.

If you already own the VirtualDJ software, you can access the latest update via the Early Access Updates section.
