This Is How IEMs Work
Every once in a while, we’ll do a story on In-Ear Monitors, better knows as IEMs. They haven’t been run away sellers in the DJ industry. Most DJs still prefer headphones. But, as improvements to the technology are made, they are beginning to make more sense.
DJs who have taken the plunge say that they will never go back to using headphones. IEMs can make mixing a whole lot easier. The better quality ones (which, admittedly, can be a bit pricey) also do a great job at isolating sound.
