We’ve all seen the annual lists telling us how much all the big name DJs make. Last I checked, I think Calvin Harris is still up there earning millions upon millions every year.

But what about the rest of us?

It goes without saying that each region sets its own average amount that a DJ can earn. It depends on how busy the DJs are, how much money the local population can spend on entertainment, and how much value hiring managers place on DJs in any given locale.

Although the currency is different, mixmag.net has put together a survey of what DJs can expect to earn for gigs and what they can expect to spend on expenses depending on where they sit on their career track. DJs who are just starting out can naturally expect to earn less than those who’ve been at it for years and have built up a solid following.

Check out the survey here. Do you think you’re earning what you’re worth?
