Are Smart Phones Destroying The Club Scene?
Who doesn’t have a smart phone these days? Your grandma probably keeps one close by to check out what her friends are doing. Not only do all of us own a smart phone, it’s almost become an appendage, like an extra body part we’ve someone managed to grow. In other words, we never leave home without it.
A lot of DJs can take issue with the number of people in the crowd pointing a phone in their direction. Even those of us who love having our sets recorded and sent out across social media by adoring fans have to think twice sometimes about ownership, copyright, and privacy issues.
Beyond all that, though. Do you think the presence of smart phones takes something important away from the club experience?
