By now you’ve probably heard of the ongoing debate about banning laptops from airplane cabins. At first, the ban was directed toward anyone flying into the US from 10 Muslim-majority countries. The latest news is that the Department of Homeland Security is looking at banning laptops in airplane cabins from planes coming in from Europe. Just think for a minute about the scale of something like that. If you’re not much of a world traveller, I’ll help you out: that’s huge!

I’m sure someone out there might not worry about it. The problem is that so much of our personal lives and businesses are tied to our computers. DJs especially need to be able to work on their laptops as they travel. There’s also a safety issue involved in having so many laptops stored in an airplane’s luggage hold.
