I’ve written about how to read the crowd before. It’s certainly a subject area that everyone and his mother has an opinion on.

Ellaskins, aka the DJ Tutor, who also offers DJ lessons via Skype, filmed himself offering tips on how to read the crowd. His ideas are spot on. For instance, some DJs are happy if they get women filling the dancefloor. Ellaskins disagrees. He argues that the goal for every DJ should be to get everyone onto the dance floor.
