I wonder what it must be like to win a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys. I wonder if I’d wake up the next morning and think, “ok then, I guess I’m done now.”

Of course, what matters is what’s being celebrated – that is, a lifetime of great work … so far. There’s no need to lay down and die.

In fact, I doubt there have been any artists on the receiving end of that award who have ended their careers thereafter.

The latest inductee into that special group that includes the likes of Miles Davis, The Beach Boys, U2 and Stevie Wonder is none other than Tiësto, aka Tijs Michiel Verwest, at the age of 47. No doubt Tiësto has a lot more creative work up his sleeve.
