Most of us don’t spend too much time wondering about the history of the DJ booth. It doesn’t need any explanation, right? It’s just the place to put all the equipment and stuff DJs haul around with them all the time. Having it all in one place just makes the whole experience better and easier.
Beyond the logistics, doing up the booth with cool lights is just part of the natural evolution.
With the passing recently of legendary DJ David Mancuso, it’s a good time to look back at what booths and the DJs that populated them were like way back when, and to see just how far we’ve all come in this ever popular profession.
