A little while ago, I reported on some of the exciting new stuff coming out of NAMM 2016. And here’s one more.

Serato has collaborated with Italian DJ company MIXARS to produce the new MIXARS Duo. It is a Serato and DVS enabled mixer.

Do we have your attention yet?

According to Alessio Foti, MIXARS Brand Director, “…the new MIXARS brand will focus on developing a premium range of DJ technology” (Serato.com). In other words, this MIXARS Duo won’t be a stand-alone product, but will, instead, herald a whole host of new tech for DJs.

Here’s some of what MIXARS Duo offers:

  • mini-innofader
  • 8 RGB rubber performance pads
  • dedicated sampler volume control
  • looping control
  • built in USB HUB for third party devices
  • easily accessible AUX input
  • no driver required for MAC users
  • full MIDI functionality
  • 2 channel hardware mixer
  • crossfader cut-in control

The mixer will retail for $990.

Does this MIXARS Duo sound like something you’ll be adding to your collection?
