I was pulled into Twitter almost immediately ten or so years ago when it launched. There’s something to be said for 140 characters … short and sweet comments. Ok, maybe not always “sweet” comments. In fact, some comments are … less inspired, shall we say?

There are a whole lot of DJs on Twitter recording all kinds of things about themselves. And I’m not even remotely talking about music. Every time you tweet a fact or opinion, or whatever, you’re telling the world something about who you are. Everyone knows that, and if you don’t, you need to clue in quick.

DJs especially need to be hyper aware of what they’re tweeting. Your career might depend on it. Public perception still carries tremendous weight, and you don’t want your gig opportunities to suddenly dry up because clients don’t like what you have to say.

You’re running a business, so make sure you keep your Twitter comments clean, professional and helpful. Don’t take cues from these guys …
