I guess if you’re going to scratch somewhere, there’s no place like a beach in Valencia, Spain.
Sometimes, it’s easy to get caught up in all the DJ equipment and technology that’s available. No doubt most of it makes DJ-ing easier and better, even though it might take more time to get a good feel for all that equipment and software. Sometimes, though, there’s nothing like getting back to the basics.
UK star DJ Captain Crunch was in Spain recently and decided to reconnect with his creativity by paring down his equipment.
In this video, he demonstrates the art of scratching with just one portable turntable – the Numark PT-01 – and a Raiden Fader.
