This story makes me feel like I’ve stepped into a time machine. As a kid, one of the first things I did when I started earning some money was to sign up for Columbia House’s mail order cassette tape service. Remember that? You’d receive new tapes that you’d selected every month.

I think finding a package in the mail addressed to me was as exciting as receiving new music. Well, tapes and Columbia House eventually went the way of the dodo.

Or se we all thought.

Columbia House Distribution has just been resurrected. The new owner, John Lippman, wants to dust off that mail order service and distribute … vinyl.

Would you buy into this?
