Say what you will about Justin Bieber, he is a classy guy. (Ok, not including all the teenage bad behavior stuff).

First, he played an intimate benefit concert in Toronto for 1500 of his adoring fans. That’s not the cool part. This is it: tickets sold for $100, and 100% of the proceeds were donated to the House of Blessing, a food bank that he and his mother would often use.

Then, Bieber heard that England’s NHS choir (made up of doctors, nurses and other health service workers) had released a mash-up of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and Coldplay’s “Fix You” called “Bridge Over You”. All money raised from sales would go to health services.

Bieber took to twitter urging his fans to buy the NHS single before his own so that the choir could enjoy the number 1 spot and raise a lot of money for a good cause.

In the end, the NHS choir did come in first, and Bieber’s singles came in second, third and fifth.

Way to go, Bieb.
