Grab your smart phone. You’re going to love this. Bacardi has teamed with Swizz Beatz to create a brand new kind of promotional feature using Instagram Stories.

If you don’t like the blurred line between clear brand advertising and entertainment, then you might take issue with this.

Otherwise, it’s actually kind of neat. Bacardi and its team have created a digital simulator that will allow you to have a full-screen image of a two turntable DJ set-up. You create sounds when your thumbs tap the buttons.

“‘You start in a video, and then it’s a series of short clips,’ explained James Quarles, vp and gm of monetization at Instagram. ‘By tapping the Bacardi logo on the left and the right, you can skip back and forth and make your own set'” (adweek.com).

Bacardi followers will be able to view the company’s story. Although this isn’t a paid ad, you’ll have to view the ad in order to use the simulator.
