Want to know who the engineers of the next hot sound will be? Check out the Pensado Awards. Taking place on August 20 in Culver City, California, the awards are all about showcasing the talents of anyone who’s making a difference in the music industry.
Some of the nominees this year are DJ Maphorisa and Wiz Kid for Producer of the Year, Henry Fong and Martin Garrix for Spin Doctor DJ Award. You’ll find more of the people you listen to every day show up under categories like OMG! Mix of the Year, Master of Mastering and Break Thru Mixer Award.
Some of the co-hosts this year will be Taryn Manning of electronic duo Boomkat, 8 Mile and Orange Is The New Black and MixedByAli who’s worked with Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre.
