#TBT – Jay Z and Kanye West In Paris
I’m not going to take you too far back today – just back to 2011.
That’s the year Jay Z and Kanye West came up with “N****s in Paris” that turned out to be a huge hit for them.
The song was part of their effort at collaboration called Watch The Throne. The song is a mess of sounds held together by a driving beat and a whole lot of synth. West has said that the song was inspired by his travels to Paris where he encountered competing ideas and art forms functioning side-by-side. The song mashes those diverse elements together.
