The Perils Of Signing To A Label
The Secret DJ over at Mix Mag had an interesting experience in his early days. He was talked into signing a record deal. We never actually find out why it turned out so badly for him. But, the warning stands.
Ultimately, the Secret DJ wants us all to remember that labels, especially the major ones, really are in it for themselves. Don’t be fooled into thinking you’re the Next Big Thing. Ok, you might be. But, don’t take it from the label guys. Listen to your fans instead.
