This is not you, right? You are not a DJ who pirates music. If you are, stop right now. You might think you’re getting ahead by not having to pay to use songs legally. In the end, though, you’re hurting a lot of people, including yourself.

Pirating music is against the law for a very good (and yes, obvious) reason. It’s stealing from the person who owns that music. Typically, the person who owns the music is also the creator. The creator should be paid for the work he’s done. If he’d never written that song, or released it, you wouldn’t have it to play.

Do everyone a favor and pay for the music you use. My MP3 Pool makes a huge effort to give DJs access to a wide variety of the best and most popular music. We do it by paying for the licence. The best way for you to support the artists that make the music is to become a subscriber. If you already are, we thank you … and so do the artists.
