Listen To The New Sound

Listening to new stuff is key because it inspires your creativity and keeps you connected to what’s happening in the larger music community beyond your front doors.

This morning, I heard music from a new band that I thought you’d appreciate. Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mbongwana Star is made up of seven members – Coco Yakala Ngambali, Théo Nsituvuidi Nzonza, Randy Makana Kalambayi, Jean Claude Kamina Mulodi (aka R9), Matuzolele Rodrick and Doctor L.

The band describes its sound as Afro-punk-rock-electro. Let me know what you think.
