Every artist – and it doesn’t really matter what your genre is – has messed up. There you are about to wow the crowd only to have something go wrong … and everyone notices. Maybe the needle skipped over the record and your beat is off. Maybe you messed up a transition that you didn’t really practice enough. Whatever happened, it’s out there now. There’s no going back.

Or is there?

Any artist working with any medium will tell you the same thing. It’s not how perfect your performance is. It’s how you cover up the mistakes. C’mon, we’re only human, right? Everyone’s going to mess up at one point or another, and who’s fault it is, doesn’t matter. You’ve got a crowd to please. So, you better get on with covering your tracks.
