You probably never thought of DJing as a sport, especially the extreme kind. Standing behind the decks and convincing people to dance and forget their problems isn’t usually classified under the same heading as rock climbing, sky diving, or car racing. But, I bet the adrenaline rush you get when you’re DJing is similar.

You might not feel like an extreme sport adventurer, but your equipment probably does. Play enough outdoor gigs and before you know it your laptop will start complaining and your mixer won’t run as smoothly. The problem is the dust, heat, cold, rain … outdoor elements are not kind to your gear.
