So, how long is your typical set? However long it is, it probably isn’t as long as the one DJ Obi is hoping to do. Obi hails from Nigeria, and is hoping to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest DJ Set ever.

He’s aiming for a 10 day set beginning 10 pm June 22nd through to 10 pm July 1st. What do you think? Is it even possible?

Obi’s up against the previous record which was 200 hours of straight DJing just two years ago in Dublin, Ireland. Obi’s set should come in at about 240 hours.

I guess the question is, why? For DJ Obi, this effort is not only a way to push his personal limits and to do something he truly loves, Obi also wants to make sure the eyes of the world are fixed on Nigerian DJs who, he feels, are great enough to deserve the world’s attention.
