Any hip hop artist will tell you that audience tastes can change practically by the hour. So, what do you do if you’ve been a hot hitmaker only to find your sound being copied so much that it’s starting to sound pretty stale?
That’s what DJ Mustard is currently struggling with. He’s smart, though. He’s looking to Jay Z for inspiration – not for his music, but to emulate his business prowess. I think Mustard’s very keen on reinvention. Let’s see where he goes from here.
