Have you ever typed a random search term, like DJ equipment, into eBay? Chances are that you’d see pages and pages of used turntables, headphones, laptops, cables … you name it. Some of it will be in great condition. Some of it will look like it’s ready for the dump.

But every once in a while, you’ll come across something truly amazing. You’ll spot a rare gem, a piece of DJ equipment that everyone would love to have because it’s a stellar piece of technology, or its look is unique, or it’s simply rare. Sometimes, brands, like Technics, will release a limited number of certain equipment that everyone and his aunt would love to own.

Are you in the market for something truly special? Is your wallet fat enough? Check out this list (courtesy of Mix Mag) of dream DJ gear. Which ones make you drool?

  • Meza Model Zero Rotary Mixer. It’s “made to order” and ideal for those “tired of endless looping and effects knobs.” It will cost you about $3000.
  • White Pioneer CDJ-2000 and DJM-900 Nexus. Got $5800 lying around? That’s what this one will set you back by.
  • White Vestax VCi380. Considered to be one of the best controllers, this one is available for just over $700.
  • Pioneer DJM-S9-N Mixer and PLX-1000-N Turntable. If you thought white DJ equipment was rare, you’d be mistaken. Pioneer just one-upped everyone else by dropping a gold-plated DJM-S9 Serato mixer. Want one? It will cost you just $3000.
  • Gold Pioneer DDJ-SZ. Yet another gold-colored offering from Pioneer. It runs at about $1800.
  • Sennheiser Orpheus. I’m not sure if you’d want to actually DJ with these headphones or lock them up in a see-through box and put them on display. If you’ve got about $37000 burning a hole in your pocket, these can be yours.
  • Technics SK-1200GAE. Technics responded to all that gold on the market by dropping the Grand Class SL-1200GAE. Everyone wants one of these, and it’ll just cost you $3600.
  • Urei 1620LE Rotary. This one’s a classic. Popular in discos during the 1970s, it was considered to be the best mixer available. Want one? You might still be able to find one on eBay for about $1800.
  • Grado’s Thereference Cartridge. Grado cardtridges are thought to be the best in the industry. You can own one for about $1700.
  • Condesa Lucia Rotary Mixer. This “mixer was designed with travelling in mind.” Be prepared to pay about $2000.
