Avicii is number one on this week’s Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums list with a new song called “Broken Arrows” from his new album, Stories.
According to Gordon Murray, Stories doesn’t seem to have any crossover hits that might bring Avicii more fans and popularity. I tend to disagree. “Broken Arrows” is fun and catchy. If you’re looking for a track to get everyone onto the dance floor, this track might just be it, especially with influences that span the likes of Jon Bon Jovi to Coldplay (and SNL!).
This single swells with synthesized strings before bring Zac Brown’s vocals to the fore. Avicii then underpins Brown’s steady singing with an upbeat mix of drums, base and keyboards mixing trills and arpeggios.
