Somewhere in the world a DJ wakes up on Christmas morning and decides to play havoc with the listeners.<\/p>\n<p>Actually, that&#8217;s not true. What happens is that every year at Christmas <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mp3poolonline.com\/blog\/whams-last-christmas-played-24-times\/\">the same story<\/a> circulates through the various traditional media and social media outlets about Joe Kohlhofer, a DJ at an Austrian radio station, who stepped into his booth and turned on the mic. The story goes that he\u00a0told his listeners that there just wasn&#8217;t enough Christmas spirit in the world, and that he had the answer. He would then proceed to play Wham&#8217;s\u00a0&#8220;Last Christmas&#8221; 24 times in a row. That&#8217;s a total of 2 hours non-stop.<\/p>\n<p>Did this actually happen? Who knows.<\/p>\n<p>What is true and profoundly sad is the news that broke yesterday. George Michael, one of Wham&#8217;s founders (with Andrew Ridgley), died on Christmas morning. Whatever you may have thought of Wham or George Michael&#8217;s\u00a0later solo work, there&#8217;s no denying that he\u00a0had one of the most powerful and soulful voices in the music industry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post-excerpt\">It just goes round and round.
