At the heart of the New York music scene was David Mancuso. Known to many as the founder of The Loft, &#8220;the first underground dance party,&#8221; Mancuso was instrumental in paving the way for DJing as an art. His love and respect for DJing was infectious, and soon inspired <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mp3poolonline.com\/blog\/how-to-dj-a-silent-disco\/\">other discoth\u00e8ques<\/a>, like Paradise Garage and The Gallery, to open.<\/p>\n<p>Mancuso&#8217;s influence was never taken lightly.
