Or better yet, what if someone said you&#8217;re a horrible DJ because of the color of your skin, or your religion, or your sexual orientation or your cultural background?<\/p>\n<p>Some people are even angry about the fact that we can&#8217;t go around saying things like that because we&#8217;ve all become slaves to political correctness. I have a few choice words for those people. The reason we can&#8217;t go around saying things like that is because they&#8217;re not true. If you&#8217;re a crummy DJ, it&#8217;s because you need more practice. The color of your skin, religion or cultural background means absolutely nothing when it comes to innate talent or learning how to do something well.<\/p>\n<p>So, why do we think it&#8217;s still ok to bash women for making mistakes all DJs make at one point or another? Why is it still ok to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mp3poolonline.com\/blog\/biopic-planned-of-edm-dj-who-cross-dressed-to-avoid-industry-sexism-via-the-guardian\/\">judge a female DJ<\/a> by how she looks as opposed to how well she DJs?<\/p>\n<p>No answer you can think of can make any of that ok. Any time you feel like directing some sexist comment toward a woman \u2013 DJ or not \u2013 do this: replace what you were going to say with a skin color, religion, sexual orientation or cultural background. All of a sudden, your comment&#8217;s not so cool anymore.<\/p>\n<p>Sexism is alive and well in the DJ, and the music, industry. Let&#8217;s put an end to it now.
