This past weekend was a great one for the NAMM Show and all the brands that displayed all the new products for 2015. If you attended the show, what was your favorite product?<\/p>\n

Below are some dope products that were on display:<\/p>\n

MDJ-1000
\nThey also showed us their new cd deck, the MDJ-1000. A few years ago we reviewed the CDJ-700, and it looks like they took all of our complaints, as well as others, and fixed them. There are a lot of similarities to the pioneer CDJs, and Gemini is extremely honest about it. You can play off of CDs, USB keys, and send midi. There\u2019s linking via Ethernet for USB keys, and you can add hotcues to your tracks. The software is not 100% done, but they are constantly improving it.
\nThis isn\u2019t the most exciting product, and I know a lot of people are going to write it off as just a poor man\u2019s pioneer, but that isn\u2019t a bad thing. If these decks can stand up to the punishment DJs dish out on gear, then we all win. Having a less expensive, reliable options is never a bad thing. They are priced as $399.<\/p>\n

IK Multimedia has always dabbled right on the fringes of DJ products. They\u2019ve released stuff in the past, and it has been met with mixed feelings from the community at large (and let\u2019s be honest, we never really like anything ever). But I had a quick meeting with them and saw some things that I think is extremely exciting.<\/p>\n

Reloop RP-7000 Silver<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard to get past the iconic looks of Technics. While the black 1210 is popular, the silver 1200 is what most people think of when talking of Technics. And while Reloop did their level best to bring the Technics vibe to their RP-7000 and 8000 turntables, something was still missing. Now Reloop aims to bring that real retro feel to their oh so modern turntable with the RP-7000 Silver, a modern turntable with the classic 1200 stylings.<\/p>\n

Pioneer XDJ-RX<\/p>\n

Our main stop here, the newest thing Pioneer has announced, is their XDJ-RX all-in-one solution. To set the record straight, it does not offer HID support with Traktor, only a soon-to-be-announced TSI file, and has no HID Serato functionality, but I\u2019m sure there will be a MIDI file sooner or later. We asked if there was a time frame for any HID integration with other software, and they said there wasn\u2019t any yet. My guess is this is going to be a primary Rekordbox only tool, and boy does it do what it does well. The general layout is pretty much just like a CDJ or a DJM, but locked together like a smaller SX. The screen is clear, and bright and the waveform rendering is nice, but nothing to write home about. The general controls are easy to navigate and the windows are easy to get through and sort.<\/p>\n
