He would put on a song and sure enough they would come. It was fascinating to watch.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Turnbull wasn\u2019t supposed to be in the club because she was underage, but as long as she kept to the booth, she could stay.<\/p>\n<p>But honestly, she didn\u2019t want to move. She was hypnotized watching and learning from the DJ.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was addicted,\u201d she says. \u201cHe put on the Mary J. Blige song \u2018Family Affair,\u2019 which was popular at the time, and everyone came to the dance floor. I wanted to do that.
