Technics just announced the release of their latest turntable, the SL-1200MK7, and now they have to share the spotlight. Reloop has revealed a new turntable and mixer that appear to be aimed at pushing the boundaries of musicality when performing. Lets jump right in and start with their new flagship turntable.

The Reloop RP-8000MK2 ($699.99 USD) had help from 3X world champ DJ Brace during its design process and we think he says it best “22 scales, 9 programmable, pitch bend….Possibilities are endless.” In addition to those features, the performance pads can be used to control the speed of the platter. This turntable is jam packed with features, you can read about them more in depth here.

Up next we have the Reloop Elite Mixer ($1999.99 USD), which appears to have a similar feel to the Pioneer DJM S9. What you can see are the 16 large performance pads, built in FXs, Dual USB inputs and USB connections for the RP-8000MK2 turntables, that double as a connection to external MIDI devices, storage media, or smartphones. Under the hood is a DUAL 24-bit interface as well as 3x non-contact Innofader Pro. You can find more about it  here.

Reloop is making a big splash in the DJ industry, bringing competition to the legendary Technics and the juggernaut Pioneer. Is it time for a new sheriff in town?
