Historic can go both ways.. when you hear “historic weekend” and it’s attached to a film you automatically assume that the film did really well in the box office.

Unfortunately that is not the case for Zac Efron’s new film “We Are Your Friends”.

The movie literally bombed in he box office, it made $1.8 million this weekend. That is the lowest opening weekend from a major studio EVER. I’m pretty sure heads will roll after this news.

The movie details the rise of a young kid who is trying to break into the EDM scene and becomes a EDM Producer. Apparently this was a passion project that Zac Efron really wanted to make and Warner Bros believed in him.

My question for you guys out there, did you pay to watch this movie? If so, what are your thoughts on it? The staff at MMP would love to hear your feedback!
