So, which kind of DJ are you? Do you spend the majority of your time preening in front of a mirror? Or do you spend that time improving your DJ skills and making music?

Apparently, according to Trino Trevino over atΒ Thump, far too many DJs are experts in promoting themselves via social media and becoming models, but fail miserably when it comes to developing effective playlists, transitions, mixtapes, and all the stuff that a good DJ is expected to know how to do when he’s performing in front of a crowd. These are the DJs who want to be famous just for calling themselves a DJ.

I have to say that most of the DJs I’ve ever known are dedicated and hard-working. How prevalent do you think these other kind of DJs really are? Have you met any?
