Usher and Diplo Drop New Music
Usher and Diplo are at it again, this time with a new track called “Go Missin’.” Usher’s R&B style is silky smooth, but for me the electronic instrumental base is at odds with the feel of the song. As I listen there’s a kind of dissonance that occurs. The electronic treble notes introduce anxiety into the song that the vocals try to quell, but don’t. It’s as if the music is deliberately emphasizing the emotions in the lyrics instead of letting Usher’s voice do it.
