We’ve spent some time here talking about different kinds of DJ gigs and different kinds of DJ equipment. We’ve even covered how to work a room and get the audience moving out onto the dance floor.

But, there’s one thing we haven’t touched on yet. That’s the actual look of the DJ booth if you need it be mobile.

There are lots of different structures available everywhere from Walmart to Ikea to custom built that will provide you with the right configuration of space and furniture to house your equipment while your DJing. You can place your equipment on a folding table – though that’s never my first choice. Even if the table legs lock in place, I can’t help but feel that there’s always a chance the whole thing can come crashing down.

There are different kinds of faΓ§ades available that come in different heights. Some will even block you from your audience, which leaves me scratching my head. If you can’t see the people you’re playing for, how are you supposed to get a feel for what vibes they’re tossing back at you?

Some DJs don’t like the fact that all those cables are exposed and open to view while others couldn’t care less. Where do you stand?
