Maybe it’s the Kung Fu. They say that a longtime study of the martial arts can help anybody achieve a state of peace and mental equilibrium. Maybe that’s what’s helped Laidback Luke stay focussed and generally problem free in an industry that seems to chew up and spit out anyone who takes themselves too seriously.

A little while ago, I broke the news to you that Avicii is stepping off the pedestal that the industry placed him on. After a few years of non-stop touring, easy access to drugs and alcohol and little to no time for sleep and personal reflection, Avicii realized he was heading down a very dangerous and potentially deadly road.

Laidback Luke, who, by the way, discovered Avicii, has seen it all. He has seen young, teenaged, music producers look toward the path to fame and fortune with bated breath. Apart from helping to bring their music to the appreciative ears of the public, Laidback Luke has developed a soft spot for these young’uns who take things just a little too far.
