Remember the Paradise Garage? The legendary club in New York became the hub of disco, modern dance and pop music, and LGBTQ2 and nightclub cultures. It operated between 1977 and 1987. DJ Larry Levan called it home.

Although the club, itself, ceased operation 30 years ago, the building (occupied by telecommunications company Verizon) stood as a monument to those times.

The latest news is that the city council has given permission for the entire building to be demolished.
