Do You Take Requests?
Oh, the issues that DJs have to deal with. If it’s not equipment malfunctions and software glitches or personality conflicts with club managers and other clients, it’s problems with the audience.
I’ve written about the kinds of demands put upon DJs before. It’s as if you have to be the audience’s therapist, entertainer, social worker, security … you name it. Despite all of that, there’s one thing that we DJs have going for us. We can laugh at it all. So, here’s another chance to do just that.
There are websites all over the internet that showcase the crazy things DJs encounter doing their job. No Breasts No Requests is a tumblr site that collects notes passed to the DJ by the crowd he or she is working hard to entertain. Notes that say things like, “My GF’s BF just got murdered. Please, please, please try and play lollypop!!”
