So, you took our advice and put together a professional and complete press kit. You’re networking, building a positive social media presence, and doing all the things you’re supposed to.

But, you’re still not getting the kinds of gigs you want. You know the ones. You’re looking for the more lucrative variety that will allow you to quit your day job, or at least make you feel valued. Why is it that other DJs seem to be able to land those gigs and you can’t?

Well, you can take some comfort in the fact that you’re not alone. A lot of DJs run into this issue. It’s partly due to the fact that hiring managers aren’t all that keen on parting with their cash. But, part of the problem may lie in your own approach.
