Trino Trevino over at Thump has a bit of an issue with DJs. He says that DJs have become marketing and social media experts. Sure. You kinda need those skills in today’s world, right? How else are you going to maximize your connections? Being on social media and knowing how to get your name and skills out there are vital to your DJ business.

Trevino thinks DJs have taken it all too far. He thinks that they’re more concerned about their image than about music production. They’re so busy becoming models and fashion icons with crazy DJ names that they’ve forgotten the most important part of DJing … the music.
