I wrote about silent discos here. Now that you know what it is. I’m wondering if any of you have had a chance to play one. Let me know.

Silent discos have their advantages. Sometimes, people enjoying the show just need a break from the loud music. Their only option is to step outside. That’s not a huge issue in the summer. But, I know I really hate having to do that in the winter!

The larger benefit to silent discos is the neighborhood. Unless the venue is in an industrial area, chances are good that there are going to be noise complaints after a certain time of night. Handing out headphones and switching to a silent disco system allows the crowd to continue revelling without the potential of being shut down by police.
