Is it just me, or is the world unravelling before our eyes? Kylie Jenner is now a DJ.

Well, I guess what I mean to say is that Kylie Jenner thinks she’s a DJ. To be fair, maybe she is. Maybe, like so many other DJs, she started practicing in her bedroom, spinning records and figuring out how to execute awesome transitions. Now, after years of practicing in privacy, she’s ready to show off her mad skills to the world (at Coachella, no less).

Or maybe she’s just jumping onto the bandwagon. Doesn’t it just seem like everybody’s a DJ? Perhaps having a celebrity (though I’m not sure what she’s done to earn that moniker) take an interest in your industry could be a good thing. Kylie Jenner, Paris Hilton and any other famous person who suddenly decides that DJing is cool might actually be lending legitimacy to the art. What didn’t impress anybody a decade ago, now impresses everybody thanks to the interest of a few important people.

Yeah, I don’t know either.

Anyway, there she is up on stage acting all DJ like. What do you think? Does this kind of attention benefit the DJ industry at all? Would you pay to see her perform?
