If you were at the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in New Orleans last weekend, you got to witness Jack Ü members Diplo and Skrillex give the crowd their best. Most performers play with the audience during their performance. That’s kinda the point of a live show. There’s a conversation that happens as acts play their music and fans react. The energy is passed back and forth. Just look at Giorgio Moroder who’s been at it for more than 30 years.

What’s different about Jack Ü is that they don’t take themselves, or their music, seriously. At Voodoo 2015, they dressed up (it was Halloween, after all), and played The Lion King theme, Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” mixed with some of their own gems. One of the set dancers was dressed up as a bottle of Febreze … Maybe they were hoping for some of the publicity Katy Perry earned with her Left Shark fiasco? Nah, probably not.

Keep it fun, folks.
